March 18, 2013
Chubu Electric Power Co.,Inc.

Since December 2007, Chubu Electric Power has been conducting work towards the installation of additional LNG tanks at its Kawagoe Thermal Power Station (located in Kawagoe-cho, Mie-gun, Mie Prefecture).

This installation work has now been completed, and two new LNG tanks (No. 5 and No. 6) commenced operation today.

The addition of the two new LNG tanks has increased our LNG storage capacity by 360,000m3, and is expected to increase the stability and flexibility of our procurement of fuel.

We are proceeding with a variety of initiatives to support stable and flexible fuel procurement into the future.
