Submission of Applications for Review of Compliance of Hamaoka Nuclear Power Station Unit 4 with New Regulatory Requirements

Chubu Electric Power has today submitted an application document for change in reactor establishment permission, an application document for approval of construction plans, and an application document for approval of an operational safety program to the Nuclear Regulation Authority as the conditions for a review to verify that Hamaoka Nuclear Power Station Unit 4 complies with the new regulatory requirements issued by the Authority.
We will respond diligently to the results of the review by the Nuclear Regulation Authority, sparing no effort to ensure that we are recognized as being in compliance with the new regulatory requirements at an early date.
In addition to steadily proceeding with measures to further increase the safety of Hamaoka Nuclear Power Station, we have also made efforts to carefully explain the details of those measures to the local community and the broader public, seeking to ensure understanding of our initiatives.
