(Note1) The fuel pool at Unit 2 stores 148 unused fuel assemblies to be removed next fiscal year.
(These are not included in the storage volume shown in the table.)

(Note2) The fuel pools at Units 3 - 5 stores 312 unused fuel assemblies (56 assemblies at Unit 3, 40 assemblies at Unit 4 (including MOX fuel) and 216 assemblies at Unit 5).
(These are not included in the storage volume shown in the table.)

(Note3) There is no plan of storing spent fuel at Units 1 & 2 in the future. Units 3 - 5 can store up to 7,550 assemblies (in parentheses ).

The equipment capacity is the number of assemblies that can be (physically) accepted by the equipment.

The number of assemblies in storage is the number of assemblies of spent fuel actually stored in the spent fuel pool. Spent fuel assemblies being loaded into a transportation cask at the time of data aggregation are included in the storage figure for the reactor unit they were in before removal.

The reactor is in operating status when the number of assemblies in storage is lower than the maximum storage capacity obtained by subtracting the number of assemblies to be loaded in the reactor from the equipment capacity.

[Maximum storage capacity = (Equipment capacity) - (Number of assemblies to be loaded in reactor)]
