Development of One-Shot Boiler: A New Electric Boiler~Offers Quick Recovery from Standby Mode~

Chubu Electric Power Co., Inc. (President and Director: Satoru Katsuno; Headquarters: Nagoya City, Aichi Prefecture; "Chubu Electric Power") and Naomoto Corporation (President and Director: Yukio Naomoto, Headquarters: Osaka City, Osaka Prefecture) jointly developed a new compact instant-startup electric boiler (product name: One-Shot Boiler). This device is capable of quickly recovering from standby mode.

Chubu Electric Power and Naomoto Corporation created One-Shot Boiler, an apparatus which instantly restarts from an idle state and can both immediately and stably supply steam.

This new product is the first-ever boiler to offer these features.

Electric boilers eliminate the need of fuel pipes, and generate little noise and no smoke. This has enabled them to be installed inside buildings or sites adjacent to residences.

On the other hand, the downside of previous electric boilers was how they required up to around 10 seconds at maximum from starting up and initiating its steam generation process. Moreover, their pressure and flow rate quickly dropped after producing steam.

The One-Shot Boiler's built-in tank, designed to constantly accumulate steam, enables the device to quickly recover from standby mode and supply steam under stable flow rates and pressure.

The developed product is scheduled for launch from Naomoto Corporation in November 2016. Its sales target is 100 units on an annual basis.
