Start of examination of analysis technology for electricity usage using AI

We hereby announce that Chubu Electric Power has agreed on the start of examination of technology for analyzing electricity usage by using AI, today, with Bidgely, Inc. (US; hereinafter "Bidgely") which provides electricity management service for households and ABEJA, Inc. (Japan; hereinafter "ABEJA") which provides data analysis platform using AI.

We currently provide a "visualization" service through "Club KatEne", an online service for households, by using data of every 30 minutes of electricity usage acquired from smart meters.

Aiming to provide services with higher values, we have decided to examine technology for analyzing electricity usage acquired with smart meters, using proprietary AI technology of Bidgely and ABEJA.

Since usage of household electric appliances are easily grasped without installing measuring instruments to each appliance by establishing analysis technology for electricity usage using AI, service that provides advices on energy conservation methods and method of use of household electric appliances that suit the customer more and service that watches over families living afar can be provided.

Furthermore, various services that can be realized by analyzing electricity usage by using AI will be examined.

Chubu Electric Power will provide new services that exceed expectations of customers by using latest technology such as Ai and IoT as a "general energy company group that goes ahead of others".
