Chubu Electric Power Co., Inc. has carried out an investigation to determine whether any previous incidents similar to the forms sent in error described in the press release issued February 8, 2006, "Forms for remittance of electricity charges sent in error."
The results of this investigation are described below:
1. Number of similar incidents determined to have occurred in the past:
One incident (resulting in a total of three incidents, including the two covered in the previous press release)
2. Period covered by this investigation:
The 13-month period from January 2005, when acceptance of payment of electricity charges by credit card began, to the present.
3. Handling of customer affected:
Chubu Electric Power has notified the customer affected by the incident discovered in this investigation and has apologized to the customer.
