Today, Mie University and Chubu Electric Power have concluded a comprehensive agreement in support of academia-industry cooperation.
The university and the company share a common feature: each advances and grows in step with the local community. It was thus a natural decision to establish a program of mutual cooperation-both in the university's educational and research activities and in the utility company's community-based business initiatives. Through this cooperation, we hope to contribute to the sustainable development of the local communities in Mie Prefecture, which in turn will contribute to the societal and economic development of the country as a whole.
Mie University and Chubu Electric Power have been working together to carry out individual study projects, mainly in the fields of science and technology-with study subjects ranging from energy to the environment and biological resources. With the conclusion of this comprehensive agreement, we hope to be able to establish even closer cooperative relationships and to achieve even greater results in a wider range of fields, from the humanities to science and technology.
