E-mail addresses sent mistakenly

Yesterday, the "All-Denka Mail Magazine" e-mail newsletter issued by Chubu Electric Power Co., Inc. was sent in a way that resulted in the mistaken sending of some subscriber e-mail addresses to other parties.
This newsletter is a monthly service sent via a subcontractor to the registered e-mail addresses of subscribers who have applied on the Chubu Electric Power Website to receive, via e-mail, information on the full electrification of homes.
Chubu Electric Power deeply regrets this error and apologizes for sending its customers' vital e-mail addresses to mistaken recipients.
It has promptly notified the affected customers of the details of this incident.
In the future, Chubu Electric Power and its subcontractors will thoroughly implement appropriate controls for customer information to ensure that such an incident will not occur again.

2. Details of this incident:
The e-mail addresses of six subscribers were mistakenly included in the text of the newsletter's title, and the newsletter showing these addresses was sent to 156 subscribers other than the six affected.
3. Cause:
An operational error by a staff member who prepared the newsletter
4. Countermeasures:
The subcontractor will implement measures including multiple checks of the newsletter's content when sending the newsletter by e-mail.
The subcontractor will automate the sending of e-mail messages to ensure such operational errors do not occur in the future.
