Chubu Electric Power Co., Inc. has declared each December to be Global Warming Prevention Month, in which it implements special efforts directed toward the prevention of global warming.
As one of its efforts during Global Warming Prevention Month, Chubu Electric Power has decided to implement Chuden Eco Point activities, which are intended to promote environmentally sensitive activities implemented by employees on their own initiative.
Specific details of these activities are described below.
1. Summary of these activities:
Eligible activities and the number of points for each (in units called ecomps) will be set in advance, and eligible persons who conduct such activities will be awarded the appropriate number of points.
After completion of the period for these activities, the points earned by each individual and each workplace will be totaled and publicized throughout the company, as a reward for employees' efforts in these activities.
2. Period for these activities:
Thursday, December 1, 2005 - Tuesday, February 28, 2006
3: Eligible persons:
Employees of Chubu Electric Power who have indicated their understanding of the goals of the Chuden Eco Point activities
4. Eligible activities:
The following environmentally sensitive activities implemented at work, at home, and in the community:

| Obtaining environmental qualifications | Obtaining environmental qualifications such as certification as a forestry instructor, and participating in training for obtaining such qualifications |
In addition, Chubu Electric Power will continue to participate and cooperate in the Expo Eco-Money project (ongoing) as a corporate supporter.
Eligible persons who have participated in Chubu Electric Power's Expo Eco-Money activities (ongoing) will be awarded Chuden Eco Point activity points for such participation.
