The director of the Nagoya Higashi Taxation Office has ordered Chubu Electric Power Co., Inc. to pay additional taxes concerning the five generators, including Generators No.5 and No.6 of Shin-Nagoya Thermal Power Plant, which were decommissioned in FY 2001 and FY 2002. We would like to inform you that today we filed a suit with Tokyo District Court to nullify the order.
