New winter system peak load (five-year record)
December 13, 2005
Chubu Electric Power Co., Inc.
At 6:00 p.m. today, the power supplied by Chubu Electric Power reached a record 23,330,000 kW. This broke the record of winter system peak load set on January 16, 2001, approximately five years ago.
We believe that this increase in demand may be attributed to greater use of heating systems, prompted by low daytime temperatures caused by an influx of unusually cold winter air.
