Hekinan Thermal Power Plant Achieved Cumulative Electric Power Energy of 300 Billion kWh
- The Shortest Record for a Domestic Thermal Power Plant -

Hekinan thermal power plant, using inexpensive coal as fuel, continues to operate safely and has achieved cumulative electric power energy of 300 billion kWh at one p.m. today since the first operation of Plant No.1 in October 18, 1991,

It is the shortest record for a domestic thermal power within the period. It took of 15 years and 3 months since the start of the operation to achieve 300 billion kWh.

300 billion kWh is the equivalent of approximately 4 months of electric power capacity used for one year in Japan, and it is the equivalent of approximately 2 -3 years of sales of power capacity for the company.
