As part of its endeavor to promote environmental studies in elementary schools and encourage young people to think of the environment and energy in terms of their own hopes and dreams, Chubu Electric will hold the "Chuden Ecosession for Elementary School Students 2006," a chance for elementary students to talk with a special guest and the president of Chubu Electric about the environment.
This year's event, which takes place December 12, will bring students from six elementary schools who have been studying the issues (through lessons at their schools, power station tours, etc.) together with Chubu Electric employees in Nagoya to give presentations.
Aside from the presentations, which the students will give, there will be a chance to talk with the president of Chubu Electric and special guest and former astronaut Toyohiro Akiyama. Special environmental messages will be given as well.
