Chubu Electric Wind Power Station Development Plan

November 13, 2006
Chubu Electric Power Co., Inc.

As part of its commitment to addressing global environmental problems, Chubu Electric is working towards the development and implementation of commercial wind power and has recently conducted studies on wind conditions and the impact that wind energy development would have on the surrounding environment.

We have recently endorsed a plan to develop two areas that yielded good results during these studies: a coastal area in Omaezaki City as well as a coastal area stretching from Toyohashi City, Aichi Prefecture to Kosai City, Shizuoka Prefecture. Chubu Electric looks forward to working with the local populations of these areas as we develop these plans.

In addition, Chubu Electric will continue to implement wind and other alternative energy sources as we seek solutions to global environmental problems.
