The 14th Scheduled Maintenance activities were started on July 21, 2006 at the Hamaoka Nuclear Power Station No. 3 (boiling-water reactor, rated output: 1,100 MW) and inspections were performed on reactor equipment and systems.
Afterwards on November 8, 2006 the reactor was activated, and operated to perform power adjustments, generating steam which was used to inspect and service reactor equipment.
The final inspection (Total Load Performance Inspection) by the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry was completed today, December 20 at 5:30 PM, and the Hamaoka Nuclear Power Station No. 3 was brought back online.
