Chubu Electric has recently changed the design of its logo graphic and company name type. The new design will be rolled out incrementally.
While based upon the existing design, including a graphic which consists of five "flower petals" each resembling the letter C, the new logo is simultaneously more refined and lively, with color gradation to present a more powerful and dynamic look. The company name will be written in a type compatible with the new graphic to enhance the total design sense.
Chubu Electric chose its existing logo in 1988, and it has become a familiar sign to our customers in the meantime. Since the logo was adopted, the energy market has become competitive in ways that go beyond traditional industry sectors and groups, such as the deregulation of retail electric power.
The new logo is symbolic of a changing business environment and a constantly adapting Chubu Electric. Our commitment to working to meet the needs of our customers, shareholders and local communities, however, remains the same.

In addition to the change of the graphic part of the logo, the Chubu Electric Group's logotype has also been redesigned. The new Group logotype consists of the company name in stylized characters color-coordinated with the graphic component (see attachment for details).
With the centripetal image as our symbol, the Chubu Electric Group will continue to strive for sustained growth and to excel in various businesses.

The letter C from Chubu Electric is stylized into "flower petals" symbolic of familiarity and growth. The five petals represent "peace and prosperity in the five prefectures of the Chubu region" and the "best mix of different types of energy."
The powerful color scheme, transitioning from yellow to deep red, represents that "we keep the lights on." The graphic is designed to look like a dynamic 3D image, expressing Chubu Electric's passion and capacity for action and people's sense of joy and hope for the future.
