Chubu Electric Chairman Fumio Kawaguchi Named as Honorary Consul of Federal Republic of Germany in Nagoya

Fumio Kawaguchi, Chairman of Chubu Electric, received an appointment as Honorary Consul of the Federal Republic of Germany in Nagoya on March 30. Dr. Gerold Amelung, Consul General from Germany to the Osaka-Kobe area, presented the honors to Chairman Kawaguchi.

Germany's Honorary Consulate for Nagoya opened today at Chubu Electric's head office.

Chairman Kawaguchi succeeds the late Kohei Abe, former Chairman of Chubu Electric, in the post of Honorary Consul. In this role, Kawaguchi will assist German nationals living in Aichi Prefecture with legal and consulate affairs and promote economic and cultural ties between Germany and Japan.
