Circulash Honeycomb, a New Deodorizing Filter for Commercial Kitchen Exhaust, Now Available Honeycomb filter harnesses the power of Circulash

Chubu Electric, collaborating with Shinko Actec Co., Ltd. (President: Bontaro Fukuzawa; address: 3-4-10 Dosho-machi, Chuo-ku, Osaka), has developed and launched a new deodorizing ceramics filter for commercial kitchens. Shaped like honeycombs, the new filter uses Circulash(*1) artificial zeolite


The new Circulash Honeycomb eliminates cooking odors with the power of Circulash, a material that has already found a wide range of uses in commercial deodorizers and household air purifiers.


Several units of Circulash Honeycomb are placed in commercial kitchen exhaust ducts. Air is deodorized as it passes through the product. The simplicity of this solution makes Circulash Honeycomb suitable for both new and existing equipment.



(*1): Zeolite made from coal ash; it is a fine gray powder



Product features

Powerful deodorizing

Circulash Honeycomb acts powerfully on the major components of cooking odors. The large surface area of the honeycomb form further enhances the deodorizing effect.


Long life and low running costs

Formulated with a catalyst that breaks down adsorbed odors, Circulash Honeycomb's deodorizing capacity is both powerful and long-lasting (estimated life: 2 - 5 years(*2)).

(*2): Composition and concentration of odors and amount of oil in the air will affect product life.

1. Deodorizing capacity

Actual cooking odors: Circulash Honeycomb's capacity for deodorizing curry odor is as follows.


Test conditions--SV: 20,000/h
(This means that the volume of exhaust passing through the deodorizing filter in one hour is 20,000 times the volume of the filter itself.)

Deodorizing performance is measured by the "three-point comparative odor collecting bag method" (Ministry of the Environment Bulletin 63).

2. Usage procedures

The product is placed in the exhaust duct of a kitchen, etc. The number used depends on the amount of air to be processed. Thus the product conforms to different scales and configurations.
