Chubu Electric Power and Suzuken Agree to a Comprehensive Business Alliance in the Medical and Healthcare Area ~Aiming to Build a “Local Healthcare Platform” that Provides Comprehensive Support and Services~

Today, Chubu Electric Power Co., Inc. (President & Director: Kingo Hayashi; "Chubu Electric Power") and Suzuken Co., Ltd. (President & CEO: Shigeru Asano; “Suzuken”) agreed to a comprehensive business alliance to build a local healthcare platform that provides medical and nursing healthcare services to local residents.

Chubu Electric Power has developed and expanded services that connect medical institutions and patients in real time by verifying services that identify electricity usage of elderly people who are presumed to have frailty (Note) and connecting test results from medical institutions to individuals through the “MeDaCa” app provided by its subsidiary Medical Data Card, Inc. (CEO: Yasuyuki Suzuki).

The Suzuken Group deploys medical DX solutions that deliver various digital services from collaborating companies and product and medical information to doctors and pharmaceutical companies in a one-stop manner, through the healthcare platform “COLLABO Portal” and social media “MedicalCare STATION (MCS)” which is used by approx. 200,000 medical and nursing care professionals in Japan to smoothly share patient information across occupational and facility boundaries.

The two groups will combine their respective initiatives to build a “local healthcare platform” that supports elderly people and local residents to continue to live more safely and securely in their familiar area.

In specific, we will watch over resident and patients and appropriately deliver medical and nursing care services and solutions by connecting residents with the local government, medical institutions, pharmacies and nursing homes in addition to residents’ health conditions (pre-symptomatic ~ medical ~ nursing care) visualized through data of electricity usage, thereby contributing to promote health in accordance with local characteristics and provide a secure lifestyle.

The two companies will utilize their respective business resources to further develop medical and health care initiatives, and provide services that make the lives of customers more convenient and richer to realize sustainable growth with customers and the society.
