FY2014 Second Half Electric Power Sales Results

The volume of electric power sold reached 62,850 GWh, down 2.2% YoY.
1 Demand for electricity other than extra high-voltage power services (i.e., general residential consumption): Down 2.5% YoY
(1) Lighting services (residential customers)
This summer was cooler and the winter was warmer than the year before, leading to less use of climate control equipment. Owing to this and energy conservation efforts, sales dropped 2.3% YoY, running behind the previous year's results.
(2) Power services (shop and small factory customers)
Sales dropped 3.9% YoY as a result of the temperature leading to less use of climate control equipment.
2 Demand for extra high-voltage power services: Down 2.1% YoY
(1) Commercial (office building and commercial facility customers)
Sales dropped 3.7% YoY as a result of the temperature leading to less use of climate control equipment.
(2) Industrial and other (medium and large factory customers)
Sales dropped 1.5% YoY from factors including decreased production in the raw materials industry.
