Hamaoka Nuclear Power Station Unit 3's Application for Permission for Changes in Reactor Installation

Chubu Electric Power today submitted to the Nuclear Regulation Authority an application for permission for changes in reactor installation. This was a result of completing preparations that have been ongoing for Hamaoka Nuclear Power Station Unit 3's application associated with new regulatory requirements.

We will earnestly respond to future reviews from the Nuclear Regulation Authority, and this includes the currently reviewed Hamaoka Nuclear Power Station Unit 4 as well. We will make every effort to promptly obtain confirmations for compliance with the new regulatory requirements.

We will steadily push forward its undertakings to further scale up the safety of Hamaoka Nuclear Power Station. At the same time, we will thoroughly illustrate the details of our initiatives for local residents and the public to gain their understanding.
