On Chubu Electric Power's Selection as the 2019 Selected Noteworthy IT Strategy Company

Today, Chubu Electric Power was selected by the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI) as the 2019 Selected Noteworthy IT Strategy Company.

The 2019 Selected Noteworthy IT Strategy Companies are companies selected by METI as actively utilizing IT. This selection was based on the questionnaire "Research on IT Use in Competitive Management" held jointly by METI and the Tokyo Stock Exchange (TSE).

We see this selection as recognition of our active involvement in digital transformation (Note), development of an infrastructure for using big data looking toward to a human-centered smart society (Society 5.0), and our initiatives to solve society's issues by integrating ICT and existing electric infrastructure such as Smart Poles.

Chubu Electric Power will continue to maximize income and enhance management efficiency through the active use of the latest digital technology. We are committed to creating a community support infrastructure as set out in the management vision in order to help solve regional societal problems.
