The court dismissed both motions with respect to all units concerned.

  • • We at Chubu Electric Power are confident that the Hamaoka Nuclear Power Station has sufficient safeguards in place, including earthquake resistance, to assure its safety.
  • • We intend to continue working for further improvement in the safety and reliability of the Hamaoka Nuclear Power Station. We are committed to stable operation of the station, with the highest priority given to safety.
  • • In closing, I would like to say that the people of Shizuoka Prefecture, and most particularly the residents of Omaezaki and the three other municipalities in the vicinity of Hamaoka Nuclear Power Station, have been most generous with their understanding and cooperation. I will take this opportunity to again express our gratitude.
  • • We at Chubu Electric Power intend to continue operating our power plants, and conducting our business, so as to provide a sense of comfort and security, and to satisfy the expectations of local residents and all others who have given us their support.

That is all for me.
