Contributing to the Realization of a Carbon-Free SocietyKeeping in line with the rapid progress in environmental initiatives in society and growing expectations placed on these initiatives, we formulated the Zero Emissions Challenge 2050 in March 2021 as a new target in the Chubu Electric Power Group’s integrated efforts to contribute to the realization of realize a carbon-free society. It aims to attain net zero CO2 emissions for our entire business by 2050. We believe that it is a very challenging target and represents a key issue that should be tackled by drawing all possible means.
