Matters related to electricity business
Scope of joint use
We may share customers' personal information with the following parties. (Note 1)
- Electricity retailer (Note 2)
- General electricity transmission and distribution utility (Note 3)
- Organization for Cross-regional Coordination of Transmission Operators, JAPAN (“OCCTO”)
- Demand suppression contractor (Note 4)
Purpose of joint use
- To conclude, modify, or terminate a wheeling service agreement or a regulated supply agreement (hereinafter referred to as a "wheeling service agreement, etc.")
- To broker the termination of a retail supply agreement (including agreements concerning to isolated island supply and final security supply) or an electricity supply agreement (hereinafter referred to as a “retail supply agreement, etc.”) (Note 5)
- To confirm information regarding the point of supply (receiving electricity)
- To read electricity meter, maintain, inspect, and replace facilities, investigate facilities in the event of power outages, disasters, etc., and perform other duties of a general electricity transmission and distribution utility under a wheeling service agreement, etc.
- To conduct business related to negawatt transaction
Information items to be shared
- Basic information: Name, address, telephone number and contract number of a retail supply agreement, etc.
- Information concerning the point of supply (receiving): Service area of the general electricity transmission and distribution utility concluding the wheeling service agreement, etc., subject to the isolated island supply agreement, specific number of the point of supply (receiving), information on the amount of the wheeling service agreement, current limit, connection transmission service menu, power factor, supply method, wheeling service agreement decision method, meter information, lead pole number, availability of grid-connected facilities, and wheeling service agreement change date, meter reading date, contract status, decommissioning method
- Information on negawatt transaction: Generation sales volume, demand procurement volume, demand suppression volume, and baseline

- Basic information: Electricity retailers that have concluded a retail supply agreement, etc.
(However, for basic information regarding customers receiving isolated island supply or final security supply, the general electricity transmission and distribution utility) - Information concerning the point of supply (receiving power): General electricity transmission and distribution utilities whose service area covers the point of supply (receiving power)
- Information on negawatt transaction: Demand suppression contractors
(Note 1) We share customers' personal information only with a limited number of business operators as necessary for the purpose of joint use, and not necessarily with all electricity retailers, general electricity transmission and distribution utilities, and demand suppression contractors.
(Note 2) Electricity retailer is a business operator that does not fall under the grounds for refusal of registration prescribed in Article 2-5, Paragraph 1 of the Electricity Business Act (Act No. 170 of July 11, 1964) and has been registered as an electricity retailer by the Minister of Economy, Trade and Industry (including business operators deemed to be registered as an electricity retailer pursuant to the supplementary provisions of the Act for Partial Revision of the Electricity Business Act and Other Acts (Act No. 72 of 2014). (Note 3) General electricity transmission and distribution utility refers to the following companies: Hokkaido Electric Power Network Inc.; Tohoku Electric Power Network Co., Inc.; TEPCO Power Grid, Incorporated; Chubu Electric Power Grid Co., Inc.; Hokuriku Electric Power Transmission & Distribution Company; Kansai Transmission and Distribution, Inc.; Chugoku Electric Power Transmission & Distribution Company, Incorporated; Shikoku Electric Power Transmission & Distribution Company, Incorporated; Kyushu Electric Power Transmission and Distribution Co., Inc.; andThe Okinawa Electric Power Company, Incorporated.
(Note 4) Demand suppression contractor is a business operator that has concluded a demand suppression adjustment supply contract with a member that is a general electricity transmission and distribution utility (including business operators that have obtained a business operator code prior to concluding the contract) (Please refer to the website of OCCTO for the name, location, etc. of the business operators.)
(Note 5) "Brokerage for termination of retail supply agreement, etc." means that a business operator who has received a new application for retail supply agreement, etc. from a customer applies for the termination of the retail supply agreement, etc. to the existing business operator on behalf of the customer.
Matters related to gas supply business
Scope of joint use
We may share customers' personal information with the following parties. (Note 1)
- Gas retailer (Note 2)
- General gas pipeline service provider (Note 3)
Purpose of joint use
- To conclude, modify, or terminate a wheeling service agreement
- To provide information concerning the brokerage for termination of retail supply agreements (including agreements relating to final security supply) and the safety of consumer appliances, etc. in connection with switching suppliers (Note 4)
- To confirm information concerning the point of supply
- To read gas consumption, maintain, inspect, and replace facilities, respond to gas leaks and other emergencies, and perform other duties of a general gas pipeline operator under a wheeling service agreement
- To fulfill Article 159, Paragraph 4 of the Gas Business Act (Note 5)
Information items to be shared
- Basic information: Customer's name, address, telephone number and contract number of retail supply agreement
- Information concerning the point of supply: Specific number of the point of supply, meter information, availability of load meters, inner pipes, location of meter gas taps, meter reading information, supply pressure, wheeling service agreement change information, and building information
- Information on the safety of consumer appliances, etc at the point of supply: Information regarding the notification prescribed in Article 159, Paragraph 4 of the Gas Business Act (Note 5)
Parties responsible for joint use management
- Basic information: Gas retailers with which the retail supply agreement is concluded (however, for basic information regarding consumers receiving final security supply, the general gas pipeline service provider whose supply area is the point of supply)
- Information concerning the point of supply: General gas pipeline service providers whose service area includes the points of supply (including the point of supply for the specified gas pipeline service conducted by the general gas pipeline service provider)
- Information on the safety of consumer appliances, etc. at the point of supply: Gas retailers with which the retail supply agreement is concluded (however, for basic information regarding consumers receiving final security supply, the general gas pipeline service provider whose supply area is the point of supply)

(Note 3) General gas pipeline service provider is a business operator licensed under Article 35 of the Gas Business Act (Note 5) (including those deemed licensed as a general gas pipeline service provider under the supplementary provisions of the Act for Partial Revision of the Electricity Business Act and Other Acts (Act No. 47 of June 24, 2015)). (Please refer to the website of the Japan Gas Association for the name, location, etc. of the business operators.)
(Note 4) "Brokerage for termination of retail supply agreement" means that a business operator who has received a new application for retail supply agreement from a customer applies for the termination of the retail supply agreement to the existing business operator on behalf of the customer.

Purpose of joint use
- For Chubu Electric Power Co., Inc., Chubu Electric Power Grid Co., Inc., and Chubu Electric Power Miraiz Co., Inc. to perform integrated compliance, risk management, and other management and internal control functions; exercise rights or fulfill obligations based on laws and regulations; provide and arrange various support services for corporations and individuals; and otherwise appropriately and smoothly execute transactions with customers and other parties
- However, this excludes the extent to which the regulations of the Electricity Business Act are affected.
