Following the financial results, I would like to talk about the revision of the standard electricity rate menu for special high-voltage and high-voltage customers of Chubu Electric Power Miraiz

Main purpose of the revision of the standard electricity rate menu

The Chubu Electric Power Group has worked on various management efficiency improvements, but as I have talked about in the financial results press conference earlier, we are in an extremely difficult revenue and financial situation this fiscal year.
In particular, since fuel prices will further rise and power supply procurement cost will drastically increase in the second half of this fiscal year, we expect consolidated ordinary loss of 147 billion yen for H2 and 170 billion yen for the full year.
We expect the situation to become more difficult in FY2023, as the full year will be affected by increase in fuel prices continuing from H2 of 2022.
In light of such business environment, we will revise the standard electricity rate menu for special high-voltage and high-voltage customers from April 2023 in order to continue to stably supply electricity to our customers.
We will carefully explain the background and details of the revision to our customers hereafter.
It is very painful for us to place additional burden on our customers who are already in a difficult situation due to soaring prices.
We will continue to make further management efforts such as expanding management efficiency measures and strengthening our market responsiveness, and strive to develop and offer attractive services according to needs, such as energy-saving and power-saving proposals to reduce the burden on our customers.
