Investment in Venture Investment Fund "Mirai Creation Fund III" - Accelerating Collaboration with Venture Companies to Realize Management Vision 2.0

Chubu Electric Power Co., Inc. has decided to invest in Mirai Creation Investment III Limited Partnership ("Mirai Creation Fund III"), a venture investment fund established by SPARX Asset Management Co., Ltd. (“SPARX”), and has signed an agreement with SPARX today.

In order to accelerate the "provision of new forms of community" and "decarbonization of social systems" set forth in our Management Vision 2.0, we are undertaking a variety of initiatives to develop businesses that will help achieve these goals with utilizing external resources.

The Mirai Creation Fund III, in which we are investing this time, targets investments in domestic and foreign venture companies in the following six sectors: Intelligent Technology (e.g. artificial intelligence), Robotics, Technologies for a Hydrogen-Powered Society, Electrification, New Materials, and Carbon Neutrality.

By investing in this fund, we will increase opportunities to build relationships with venture companies in Japan and overseas and further accelerate collaboration with various companies, thereby making steady progress toward the realization of Management Vision 2.0.
