Signing of a Joint Investment Agreement for "Wind Farm Toyotomi" ~Promotion of Onshore Wind Power Generation Project in Toyotomi-cho, Teshio-gun, Hokkaido~

Looop Inc. (Head Office: Taito-ku, Tokyo; President & Representative Director: Soichiro Nakamura; "Looop") and Chubu Electric Power Co., Inc. (Head Office: Higashi-ku, Nagoya; President & Director: Kingo Hayashi; "Chubu Electric Power") have concluded a joint investment agreement for Wind Farm Toyotomi ("the power plant") which is being developed by Looop subsidiary, Toyotomi Wind Energy LLC ("the project company") and today, Chubu Electric Power invested in the project company.
The power plant is a 30,000kW onshore wind power plant under development in Toyotomi-cho Teshio-gun, Hokkaido, and is scheduled to start operation in April 2024.
Since its establishment in 2011, Looop has been building solar power plants in Japan and overseas with the aim of creating an energy-free society through the maximum diffusion of renewable energy. The power plant has been planned as the first wind power generation project by Looop since 2019.
The Chubu Electric Power Group is aggressively developing renewable energy throughout Japan with the goal of expanding it by 3.2 million kW or more by around 2030. This investment in the project company will be the first renewable energy development project in Hokkaido for Chubu Electric Power.
Through the development of the power plant, the two companies will contribute to the realization of a decarbonized society.
