Chubu Electric Power invests in Energy Impact Partners Fund SCSp

Chubu Electric Power Co., Inc. has made a capital investment in Energy Impact Partners Fund SCSp (EIP), a global venture capital firm. EIP invests in mission-driven companies advancing the net-zero carbon economy in areas related to future technologies in the energy industry, particularly in distributed energy, EV/electrification, smart cities, and cyber security.

By joining the EIP network, which consists of more than 30 of the world's leading energy companies, we will have access to their innovation and decarbonization efforts. Through the Energy Impact Partners venture network, we will be able to connect with the best innovators and accelerate collaboration to create services based on new technologies and business models. Through these efforts, we will provide a "New Community" as stated in our Management Vision 2.0 and contribute to the "realization of a decarbonized society".

The latest investment will be funded by the corporate venture capital, Chubu Electric Power Community Support Fund, which was established in April 2019 as an internal fund for swiftly investing in venture businesses and venture investment funds that have advanced technology or innovative business model.
