Chubu Electric Power and GMO Aozora Net Bank signs a consignment contract for bank agency service ~Transfer fees to other banks, which tend to be a burden for salary transfers, etc., becomes lowest level in the industry~

Chubu Electric Power Co., Inc. (President & Director: Kingo Hayashi; "Chubu Electric Power") and GMO Aozora Net Bank, Ltd. (Representative Director & Chairman: Taketo Kaneko / Representative Director & President: Takeshi Yamane; "GMO Aozora Net Bank") signed a consignment contract today for bank agency service.

Accordingly, Chubu Electric Power will today start providing the "Internet bank account opening service" to our corporate customers through Chubu Electric Power Miraiz Co., Inc. (Representative Director: Masaya Otani; "Chubu Electric Power Miraiz") and Chuden Energy Service Co., Ltd. (Representative Director & President: Kei Imaki; "Chuden Energy Service"), which handle sales of energy and services in the Chubu Electric Group. This service realizes transfer fees to other banks at the lowest level in the industry (Note 1) and can be easily used at the office or other places without going to a bank counter.

The Chubu Electric Power Group has learned through the communication with our corporate customers that transfer fees to other banks are a large burden when making payments to business partners and salary payments to employees, and that they do not have the time to go to a bank counter. This led to the start of this service today after much review by the Chubu Electric Power Group and GMO Aozora Net Bank.

This service can be used by registered Bizene members (Note 2) by opening a new GMO Aozora Net Bank account from the dedicated website (Note 3).

[Advantages of the Internet bank account opening service]

• Transfer fees of 145 yen per item to other banks become 130 yen per item, which is the lowest level in the industry
• Everything from opening an account to making transfers is done online
• Transfers are possible 24 hours a day, 365 days a year (Note 4), anytime and anywhere

Prior to the conclusion of this consignment contract, Chubu Electric Power, Chubu Electric Power Miraiz and Chuden Energy Service obtained a license (Note 5) from the Tokai Local Finance Bureau of the Ministry of Finance on March 24, 2022 for bank agency service with GMO Aozora Net Bank as the affiliated bank.

The Chubu Electric Power Group and GMO Aozora Net Bank will continue to review and develop services that contribute to improved convenience and business expansion of our customers.
