Investment in BYWILL

Chubu Electric Power Co., Inc. (President & Director: Kingo Hayashi; hereinafter "Chubu Electric Power") has invested in BYWILL Inc. (President/Representative Director: Yuichiro Shimomura; hereinafter "BYWILL"), a company developing a carbon credit creation support business focused on forest areas.

BYWILL contributes to the achievement of carbon neutrality in Japan by offering four services: "Environmental Value Creation Support (Creating Credits)", "Environmental Value Trading (Credit Procurement and Intermediation)", "Decarbonization Consulting", and "Brand Consulting". In particular, it has strengths in supporting the creation of forest-based carbon credits and contributes to the development of sustainable domestic forestry.

Chubu Electric Power is promoting regional infrastructure projects such as forestry, water supply and sewage, and resource recycling by leveraging its strengths, including its infrastructure management expertise and customer relationships cultivated over many years, and utilizing digital technology.

Through this investment, we will work with BYWILL to further promote sustainable forest management and decarbonization, contributing to the enhancement and diversification of forest value and the realization of a decarbonized society.
