Commercial operation started on Fukuyama Biomass Power Station

The ten companies included Chubu Electric Power Co., Inc. (“Chubu Electric Power”), and Inabata & Co., Ltd. (“Inabata”), as well as Taihei Dengyo Kaisha, Ltd. (“Taihei Dengyo”), Tokyo Sangyo Co., Ltd. (“Tokyo Sangyo”), Kanadevia Corporation (“Kanadevia”), Aichi Kaiun Co., Ltd. (“Aichi Kaiun”), Maruka Holdings Co.,Ltd. (“Maruka HD”), MEC Corporation (“MEC”), Fujiishoji Corporation (“Fujiishoji”), and Solariant Capital Co., Ltd. (“Solariant”) have jointly invested in Fukuyama Biomass Power Generation LLC (hereinafter "the project company"). Today, the project company began operating the Fukuyama Biomass Power Station (hereinafter "the power station").

The power station is a wood-fired biomass power plant with an output of 52,700 kW, and is expected to generate approximately 380 million kWh per year.

We appreciate the cooperation and understanding of the local community and relevant parties in the construction of the station.

The ten investment companies and the project company will operate the station with the utmost consideration for the safety and security of local residents, and will continue to contribute to the realization of a decarbonized society through its operation.
