Start of demonstration experiment on health promotion using smartphone apps in Toin Town, Mie Prefecture

Toin Town (Mayor: Toshio Mizutani), Chubu Electric Power Co., Inc. (President & Director: Kingo Hayashi, "Chubu Electric Power"), and necolico LLC (Representative Partner: Chubu Electric Power; Executive Director: Taisuke Yamanaka, "nekoriko") signed an agreement yesterday regarding a demonstration experiment for health services for residents using a smartphone application ("this demonstration experiment"). This is to announce that this demonstration experiment will begin today.

The three parties will conduct a demonstration experiment utilizing an app that promotes communication between local governments and town residents (“this app”) linked to e-Frail Navi, a DX tool that supports the regional comprehensive care system provided by Chubu Electric Power to local governments.

Residents participating in this demonstration experiment will be able to receive notifications of local events that were previously confirmed in publicity magazines and posters, as well as information tailored to individual circumstances that was previously received by mail from Toin Town, via this app developed by Chubu Electric Power.
Furthermore, residents can use this app to accumulate points through checking in at local government events and engaging in daily healthy activities with the Toin Town Health Promotion Point Card, as well as to provide feedback to Toin Town on the results of their actions in response to the information provided.

This will enable Toin Town to go beyond simply disseminating information and create a system for receiving information from residents, with the aim of working with residents to develop a data-driven health management system and services tailored to individual health conditions.

Toin Town aims to extend healthy life expectancy by fostering health awareness among its residents and maintaining and improving their life functions, under the future vision of "Healthy and Active Town". Through this demonstration experiment, we aim to create a town where residents can live with peace of mind, so that each individual can receive appropriate support and continue to live independently according to their abilities in their familiar neighborhoods for as long as possible.

Chubu Electric Power and nekoriko will verify the effectiveness of this app and confirm operational issues, while also considering its future introduction and expansion to other municipalities. By working to solve various social issues in an aging society, we will contribute to the realization of a safe and secure community.
