Conclusion of Agreement on Mutual Cooperation in Disaster

The Third Regional Coast Guard Headquarters (“3rd Regional CG HQ”), Chubu Electric Power Co., Inc. (“Chubu Electric Power”) and Chubu Electric Power Grid Co., Inc. (“Power Grid”) concluded yesterday the “Agreement on Mutual Cooperation in Disasters between 3rd Regional CG HQ, Chubu Electric Power and Power Grid” for the purpose of smooth mutual cooperation in the event of various disasters.

Through mutual cooperation based on this agreement, the 3rd Regional CG HQ will transport personnel and equipment from Chubu Electric Power and Power Grid necessary for restoring power to isolated areas where roads have been cut off and power outages have occurred due to various disasters such as typhoons, earthquakes, and tsunamis, using patrol vessels belonging to the 3rd Regional CG HQ. Chubu Electric Power and Power Grid will supply power to facilities, activity bases, etc., necessary for the 3rd Regional CG HQ’s disaster response measures.

The three parties will contribute to the local community by promptly carrying out such activities and connecting them to the relief and recovery efforts in the affected areas.
