Commercial Operation of Motosu Purification Center Solar to Commence

Chubu Electric Power was commissioned by Motosu City, Gifu Prefecture ("Motosu City") to undertake the Motosu City Sewerage Facility Solar Power Generation Equipment Installation Project and has been constructing solar power generation plants at two sewerage facilities owned by Motosu City.
We are pleased to announce that construction of the second site, the Motosu Purification Center Solar ("the power plant") has been completed, and it began commercial operation on October 4, 2025.
The first site, the Shinsei Purification Center Solar, has been in commercial operation since December 9, 2024.(details were announced on December 9, 2024 )

We would like to express our sincere gratitude to Motosu City, which manages the sewerage facility, the local community, and all related parties for their understanding and cooperation in the construction of the power plant.

The Chubu Electric Power Group has positioned renewable energy as one of its main power sources that will contribute to achieving a carbon-free society as well as enhancing energy self-sufficiency, and we will continue active development in order to achieve our goal of "an expansion over 3.2 million kW through ownership, construction, and maintenance of renewable energy plants by around 2030".
