Receipt of Report Request from the Minister of Economy, Trade and Industry Pursuant to Article 106, Paragraph 3 of the Electricity Business Act

Today, we received a request for a report from the Minister of Economy, Trade and Industry pursuant to Article 106, Paragraph 3 of the Electricity Business Act. This request was made because the Nuclear Regulation Authority confirmed an incident (hereinafter referred to as "this incident") during its review of the compliance of Units 3 and 4 of the Hamaoka Nuclear Power Station with the new regulatory standards under the Nuclear Reactor Regulation Act. The incident involved the inappropriate method used to evaluate seismic motion at the Hamaoka Nuclear Power Station.
