Regarding a Hydraulic Oil Leak at the Nagake Reverse Regulation Reservoir Embankment of the Misegaya Dam

At approximately 11:40 a.m. today, we confirmed a leak of hydraulic fluid (Note) from hydraulic equipment used to operate gates downstream of the Naga Reverse Regulation Reservoir embankment (Odaicho, Taki District, Mie Prefecture), located downstream of our Misegaya Dam in the Miyagawa River system.
We are currently investigating the details and cause of the incident. We have confirmed that approximately 58 liters of oil leaked and that it did not contain PCBs (polychlorinated biphenyls).

We sincerely apologize for causing concern to the local community.
We will take appropriate measures moving forward with the cooperation of the government and other relevant parties.

(Note) Refers to the oil used in hydraulic equipment.
