Investment in Ocean Power Grid, Inc., a company developing new offshore power transmission technologies

We have decided to subscribe to a portion of the third-party allotment of new shares to be conducted by Ocean Power Grid, Inc. (President: Hideyuki Onishi, hereinafter "Ocean Power Grid"), and today we signed an investment agreement with Ocean Power Grid.

Ocean Power Grid is a company that aims to solve power transmission issues by utilizing maritime transportation technology, including the development of "Battery Tankers" that store electricity generated by offshore wind power in large-capacity batteries on board and transport it to designated locations.

Battery Tankers are expected to be a power transmission solution that expands the development potential of offshore wind power generation, as they enable power transmission even in areas where laying submarine cables is difficult, such as areas with complex seabed topography or deep waters.

Through this investment, we aim to further develop offshore wind power and contribute to the realization of a sustainable, decarbonized society.
