Our company-owned Uchigaya Forest has been certified as a "Nature Coexistence Site"

Chubu Electric Power Co., Inc. hereby announces that the Uchigaya Forest (Yamato-cho, Gujo City, Gifu Prefecture), which is owned by Chubu Electric Power, has been certified today as a "Nature Coexistence Site" (Note).
This is the first time that our company-owned forests have been certified as a "Nature Coexistence Site."

(Note) Areas certified by the government as "areas where biodiversity is being conserved through private-sector initiatives." From FY2025, under the "Act on the Promotion of Activities for Enhancing Biodiversity in Local Communities," the government certifies plans for biodiversity-enhancing activities driven by private initiatives, including corporate forests, satoyama landscapes, and urban green spaces.

We believe that this certification was granted in recognition of our plan for activities, including forest operations based on the forest management plan, monitoring to confirm the protection of rare species, and the assessment of water source recharge capacity.

We will continue to contribute to the realization of a nature-positive society by proactively working to enhance biodiversity.

Uchigaya Forest
