Chubu Electric Power Co., Inc. (Headquarters: Higashi-ku, Nagoya; President & Director: Kingo Hayashi; hereinafter "Chubu Electric Power") and Career Survival Co., Ltd. (Head office: Nakamura-ku, Nagoya; President & CEO: Daisuke Matsuoka; hereinafter "Career Survival") have jointly developed the AI-powered work video analysis system "AI Manual Coach" (hereinafter "this system"). This system utilizes artificial intelligence (AI) to analyze work videos from manufacturing sites and other locations to automatically generate procedure manuals and analyze the differences in movements between experts and non-experts.
Starting today, Career Survival will begin accepting orders for this system.
In recent years, particularly in the manufacturing industry, the aging of skilled technicians and labor shortages have been progressing, making skills transfer and the improvement of work efficiency major challenges. Furthermore, there is a growing need for the visualization and standardization of expert techniques, which often remain tacit knowledge in on-site work, and solutions utilizing digital technology are being sought.
By uploading on-site work videos, this system allows AI to perform automatic analysis and provides the following functions.
1. Automated generation of work procedure manuals (multilingual support)
By breaking down work processes and analyzing information such as eye movements and physical actions, it automatically generates work procedure manuals that organize work steps and precautions in a way that is easy for even beginners to understand.
2. Analysis of differences between experts and non-experts
It compares and analyzes the work of experts and non-experts, quantitatively visualizing differences in movements, work time, and other factors.
3. Work analysis and improvement proposals
By quantifying work time and operation rates, it identifies bottlenecks and extracts areas for improvement, providing concrete insights for process optimization.
Both companies will continue to create new value and contribute to the prosperity of our customers and local communities through research, development, and sales that support productivity improvements for our customers in the manufacturing industry and other sectors, as well as help solve societal challenges.
