Sakaiminato showamachi biomasshatsuden godo kaisha (hereinafter "the project company"), which is jointly invested in by six companies—Chubu Electric Power Co., Inc. (hereinafter "Chubu Electric Power"), New Circle Energy Co., Ltd. (a joint venture between Marunouchi Infrastructure Investment Limited Partnership and New Energy Development Co., Ltd.; hereinafter "New Circle Energy"), Inabata & Co., Ltd. (hereinafter "Inabata"), Chubuplant Service Co., Ltd. (hereinafter "Chubuplant Service"), NX Sakaiminato Kairiku Co., Ltd. (hereinafter "NX Sakaiminato Kairiku"), and Sanko Inc. (hereinafter "Sanko")—commenced commercial operation of Green Power Sakaiminato (hereinafter "the Power Station") today.
The Power Station is a wood-fired biomass power plant with an output of 28,110 kW and is expected to generate approximately 200 million kWh of electricity per year.
We appreciate the cooperation and understanding of the local community and relevant parties in its construction.
The six investment companies and the project company will operate the station with the utmost consideration for the safety and security of local residents, and will continue to contribute to the realization of a decarbonized society through its operation.
