Start of construction for Mega Solar Kiso in Kiso-machi, Kiso-gun, Nagano Prefecture - Aiming for operation start in September 2027 -

Chubu Electric Power is pleased to announce that today it began construction of the Mega Solar Kiso (hereinafter "this power station") on the former site of the Kisokoma Kogen Uyama Country Club in Kiso-machi, Kiso-gun, Nagano Prefecture.

This power station is a solar power facility with a generating capacity of 21,000 kW, to be constructed through Mega Solar Kiso LLC (hereinafter the "project company"), in which our company holds an equity interest. We aim to commence operations in September 2027.

Continuing to embrace an eco-conscious mindset, we will proceed to construct the facility while affording the highest priority to safety and with the understanding and cooperation of local residents as well as other relevant parties.

The Chubu Electric Power Group has positioned renewable energy as one of its main power sources that will contribute to achieving a carbon-free society as well as enhancing energy self-sufficiency, and we will continue active development in order to achieve our goal of "an expansion over 3.2 million kW through ownership, construction, and maintenance of renewable energy plants by around 2030".
