Chubu Electric Power Co., Inc. ("Chubu Electric Power") has committed US$75 million, through its wholly owned subsidiary Chubu Global Investment Americas Inc., to Lotus Infrastructure Fund IV ("Fund IV"), an infrastructure investment fund managed by Lotus Infrastructure Partners, LP ("Lotus").

Through its investments in energy projects, Lotus has developed extensive knowledge and experience across the project lifecycle, from development and construction through operations. For more than 20 years, Lotus has invested through its managed funds to support the reliability, efficiency and sustainability of the North American energy sector.

Fund IV and related co-investment vehicles closed with capital commitments of more than US$1.3 billion from investors and intends to pursue investment opportunities in North American energy infrastructure projects, including power generation, electricity transmission, battery energy storage, and biofuels.

Through this investment, Chubu Electric Power expects to achieve attractive returns while gaining valuable insights into the U.S. energy market, where energy demand is projected to grow significantly. It will also explore co-investment opportunities alongside Fund IV in selected portfolio projects, with the aim of expanding its investment opportunities and creating additional value.

Since entering into a strategic partnership with Lotus in June 2025, Chubu Electric Power has deepened its relationship with Lotus through regular information exchange and short-term employee secondments.

"We are delighted to invest in the Fund. Through this investment, we will further strengthen our strategic partnership with Lotus Infrastructure Partners, which has over 20 years of experience investing across the North American energy market, while pursuing new investment opportunities and expanding our investment platform in the region's growing energy infrastructure sector," said Hiroki Sato, Division CEO of Global Business at Chubu Electric Power.

"We are delighted to further strengthen our partnership with Chubu Electric Power, an important strategic partner with deep expertise in Japan's energy sector," said Himanshu Saxena, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Lotus Infrastructure Partners. "We believe our collaboration can create mutually beneficial opportunities as we pursue investments that support reliable, efficient and sustainable energy infrastructure. Japan is an important market for energy projects, and we look forward to working with Chubu Electric Power to share insights and identify areas for profitable cooperation."
