Hekinan Thermal Power Station Achieves 200 Million-Ton Mark in its Cumulative Coal Reception

Chubu Electric Power Co.,Inc.

Chubu Electric Power is proud to announce that Hekinan Thermal Power Station today achieved a 200 million-ton mark in its cumulative coal reception.

This feat was attained nearly 26 years after the station first accepted coal in October 1990.

No single coal-fired thermal power station in Japan has ever received the black mineral to a total of 200 million tons.

This cumulative amount is roughly equivalent to 120 times the capacity of Nagoya Dome (a baseball field in the City of Nagoya), and adds up to around 600 billion kWh of energy generation.

In an effort to continue to provide electric power in a reasonable and stable way, Chubu Electric Power will make a full commitment to the safe and steady operation of power generators.
