Chubu Electric Power Co., Inc. (headquarters: Higashi-ku, Nagoya-shi, President & Director: Satoru Katsuno; hereinafter, "Chubu Electric Power") and Bsize Inc. (headquarters: Kohoku-ku, Yokohama-shi; President & Representative Director: Keita Yagi; hereinafter, "Bsize"), and NTT Communications Corporation (headquarters: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo; President & CEO: Tetsuya Shoji; hereinafter "NTT Communications") will start providing the child monitoring service "Dokonyan GPS BoT", which uses AI and IoT, today.
"Dokonyan GPS BoT" is a service that provides to the parent's smartphone accurate and real-time information on the current location and location history of a child holding a dedicated IoT device. The AI technology allows the system to automatically learn the places the child frequents such as their school or a private-tutoring school and can alert the parent on when their child is leaving or going to school, or when they are coming home through push notifications.
This service is on a limited time discount which ends on August 31, 2018, at the Chubu Electric website for individuals and households.
Chubu Electric Power has been providing information for a safe and secure environment through "Kizuna Net" (Note), a service that provides the school's emergency contact network and disaster and crime prevention information. We believe we can contribute further to improve our customer's sense of security by providing the "Dokonyan GPS BoT" service along with "Kizuna Net".
Using the most up-to-date technology such as AI and IoT, Chubu Electric Power, Bsize, and NTT Communications will continue to strengthen ties and relationships between the local communities and together create and provide new value.
