Start of Construction on the Taketoyo Thermal Power Station Unit 5

Chubu Electric Power would like to announce that it has started construction on the Taketoyo Thermal Power Station Unit 5 today.

As a high efficiency coal-fired thermal power plant, Taketoyo Thermal Power Station Unit 5 will supply electricity stably in the long-term and cut down on power generation costs while striving to reduce the burden on the environment by mixing woody biomass into coal as fuel and adopting a high efficiency exhaust gas processing device.

With the continued cooperation and understanding of the local community and related parties, we will proceed with construction putting safety first.
