Receipt of Report Requested by the Minister of Economy, Trade and Industry Pursuant to Article 106, Paragraph 3 of the Electricity Business Act

Regarding the matter (hereinafter referred to as "this matter") concerning the discovery of long-standing unsettled accounts with certain business partners related to part of the safety improvement measures construction at the Hamaoka Nuclear Power Station, and the failure of an officer in our Nuclear Power Division to report these facts to the Board of Directors and other relevant bodies for an extended period, contrary to internal regulations, we received a request for a report from the Minister of Economy, Trade and Industry on November 27, 2025, based on the provisions of Article 106, Paragraph 3 of the Electricity Business Act. and submitted a report to the Minister of Economy, Trade and Industry on December 24, 2025, in response to this request.(Press release issued on December 24, 2025)

We hereby announce that today, we received a request for a report from the Minister of Economy, Trade and Industry regarding this matter, based on the provisions of Article 106, Paragraph 3 of the Electricity Business Act, to confirm further details of the circumstances and effective measures to prevent recurrence.

We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience caused to our business partners and for the concern caused to the local community and all stakeholders.
