Directions for Measures to Prevent Recurrence of Improprieties Related to the Formulation of Design Basis Earthquake Motion in the Compliance Review for the New Regulatory Standards at the Hamaoka Nuclear Power Plant

On January 5 of this year, we announced (Press release issued on January 5, 2026). Since then, under a committee chaired by the President and composed solely of external experts independent of the Company (hereinafter referred to as the "Investigation Committee"), we have been proceeding with the examination of issues such as organizational culture and the consideration of measures to prevent recurrence, even before awaiting the results of the Investigation Committee's inquiry.
Today, we have finalized the direction of our measures to prevent recurrence and are hereby announcing them.

Going forward, we will consider more specific measures to prevent recurrence based on the recommendations contained in the Investigation Committee's report (press release issued on September 14, 2026).

We would like to once again offer our deepest and most sincere apologies for having betrayed the trust of the local community and society at large due to this incident, and for causing you great concern and inconvenience.
