Receipt of Additional Instructions from the Spent Fuel Reprocessing and Decommissioning Promotion Organization Pursuant to the Act on the Implementation of Spent Fuel Reprocessing and the Promotion of Decommissioning in Nuclear Power Generation

Regarding the Implementation Report and cost claims related to the dismantling and removal work for Units 1 and 2 of the Hamaoka Nuclear Power Plant (hereinafter "this matter"), the Company received instructions on August 27, 2026, from the Spent Fuel Reprocessing and Decommissioning Promotion Organization pursuant to the Act on the Implementation of Spent Fuel Reprocessing, etc., in Nuclear Power Generation and the Promotion of Decommissioning, and today submitted a report regarding the facts known at this time (Press release issued on September 25, 2026).

We hereby announce that today, the Organization for the Promotion of Spent Fuel Reprocessing and Decommissioning, noting that investigations into the contents of the aforementioned report are still ongoing, issued additional instructions to us pursuant to Article 56, Paragraph 1 of the Act on the Implementation of Spent Fuel Reprocessing and the Promotion of Decommissioning in Nuclear Power Generation, directing us to compile and resubmit a report on the items listed below.

We apologize for any concern or inconvenience this matter has caused to local residents and all relevant parties.

Going forward, we will take appropriate action in accordance with these instructions.
