FY2015 First-half Electric Power Sales Results

The volume of electric power sold reached 61,008 GWh, on the same level as the previous year with a decrease of 0.4% YoY.
1 Demand for electricity other than extra high-voltage power services (i.e., general residential consumption): Up 0.1% YoY, remaining around the same level as the previous year.
(1) Lighting services (residential customers)
Despite extended meter inspection periods, demand was up 0.3% YoY remaining on the same level as the previous year, owing to energy conservation efforts and other factors.
(2) Power services (shop and small factory customers)
Despite extended meter inspection periods, demand was down 1.1% YoY, owing to contract number declines and other factors.
2 Demand for extra high-voltage power services: Down 0.6% YoY, on the same level as the previous year
(1) Commercial (office building and commercial facility customers)
Demand was down 0.6% YoY, remaining on the same level as the previous year.
(2) Industrial and other (medium and large factory customers)
Despite increased semiconductor productions, due to a decline in automobiles, sales were down 0.5% YoY and remained on the same level as the previous year.
